The Future

By 2020 and the years thereafter, we envision the Filipino United Community Church to be a stronger witness for Jesus Christ in Winnipeg and beyond.

Doctrine

The Filipino United Community Church believes that the Bible is inspired by God and is the final authority in matters of faith and practice.

This Church accepts the following statement of faith as an expression of the Spirit in which the Church interprets the Word of God.

Statement of Faith

We believe in One God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

That man was created by God, in His own likeness and fell into temptation and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature.

That Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, rose from the grave, ascended to heaven and is coming back. Therefore all who have faith in Him will have eternal life and be saved.

In the bodily resurrection of believers and the unbelievers, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and everlasting punishment of the lost.

That the Church is the Body of Christ and her mission is to proclaim the gospel to all people through preaching, teaching and individual witnessing to receive Him as Lord and Savior.

He calls us into His Church to receive the joy of discipleship, to be His servants in the service to people, to proclaim the gospel to all the world and resist the power of evil, to share in God’s baptism and commune at His table, to join Him in His agony and victory.

He promised to all who trusted Him forgiveness of sins and fullness of grace, courage in the struggle for justice and peace, His presence in trial and eternal life in His Kingdom which has no end.
